Picture Manager is an awesome program that comes with the Microsoft Office suite to help you view, edit, and manage your pictures easily and quickly. Microsoft Office Picture Manager has some powerful editing features such as cropping, rotating, auto correcting, resizing, red-eye removal, copying, etc. This program was a nice tool to add transformation to your pictures but Microsoft no longer includes it in its latest releases of Office.
Description and Features of Microsoft Office Picture Manager
Microsoft Office Picture Manager was not updated since the 2003 release, which is the reason why Microsoft decided not to continue with its development. Compared to other powerful picture editing tools like Photoshop, the Picture Manager looked out of date and Microsoft found no need to keep updating it. But there are many Office users who didn’t get to feel the taste of the program. If you are using the newer versions of Office like 2013 and 2016, you will find that this program is no longer included.
Microsoft Office Picture Manager gives you a flexible way to play about with your pictures. You can view your pictures anywhere no matter where they are located. You just need to create shortcuts to the folder that contains those pictures or a shortcut to the picture itself. Shortcuts allow you to access your pictures easily without having to open hundreds of folders trying to locate your favorite pictures.
Microsoft Office Picture Manager can even perform auto corrections to your pictures. The Auto correct feature that comes with the program makes this possible. Once you have edited your pictures and are satisfied with their new look, you can click on Save to save these images. In addition, you can share the pictures with your friends by sending them through email or by creating a library of those pictures and sharing them through your company intranet. Though Picture Manager is no longer in the latest releases of Office, its features remain memorable to those who had a chance to use it.
